Color Sealing

Clear Sealing

1. What’s the difference between resurfacing and sealing?
Resurfacing is for concrete that has damage cracks, spalling, significant wear. We repair the surface first, then apply a protective coating on top. Sealing (color or clear) is for concrete that’s already in good structural condition and just needs protection or a visual upgrade.
2. Does resurfacing include crack repair?
Yes, always. Every resurfacing job we do includes crack and damage repair before the coating goes on. There’s no point coating over unrepaired damage it won’t hold.
3. How long does a concrete coating last in Colorado?
With proper prep and application, most coatings hold up 10 to 15 years. Clear sealers typically need to be refreshed every 2 to 4 years. We’ll tell you what to expect for your specific situation when we give you an estimate.
4. Why does Colorado destroy concrete so fast?
Mainly the freeze-thaw cycle. Colorado Springs gets over 100 nights below freezing per year. Moisture gets into porous concrete, freezes, expands, and cracks the surface from the inside. Add intense UV at altitude and road salt use in winter, and you have conditions that age concrete faster than almost anywhere else in the country. Sealing is the single best thing you can do to slow that down.
5. Is resurfacing cheaper than replacing concrete?
Significantly. Resurfacing costs less than a full pour. Unless the slab is structurally compromised all the way through, restoration is almost always the smarter financial decision. We’ll give you an honest assessment if you truly need replacement, we’ll tell you that too.
